4 miles - 1 at marathon pace.

Update on ribs - it is what it is at this point. Running doesn't seem to aggravate them too much. They are just achy and the pain increases with a deep breath. I figure at this point I will take some ibuprofen before the race and endure the pain. If nothing else, hopefully the chest pain will distract me from the inevitable pain in my legs near the end of the race. That is my Pollyanna attitude!

[update 11:30am] I almost feel no pain in my ribs while just sitting here now. It is odd that it changes so much from day to day. I guess I am posting this mostly for my own benefit to look back on later and see when it was giving me trouble and when it wasn't.

Hopefully it stays that way.

One can only hope John. It is an odd thing for sure. Hoping and Praying you don't leave me before Veyo.

That definitely won't happen, maybe the other way around.

Here are my thoughts: I think you'll have so much adrenaline pumping through your body that your ribs won't even be an issues. I think our bodies can push through more pain than we realize. Plus, you still have 3 full days to recover.

Jen - keep these thoughts coming. I love the positivity! I think you are right, we can endure more than we think and adrenaline is a powerful beast. 3 more days is a lot of time too. Thanks!
