5 easy on the parkway with a couple of short pickups.

Ribs / Chest Update - Feeling pretty good. Was slightly sore on the run but not bad. Was the best I have felt since the fall on the ski. St. George is going down under 2:50!

98% or 2% excited or scared...that's what makes it so intense!

For me, I relax as much as possible while staying confident and ready in the days leading up to the race. I take everything I do very seriously and avoid miscalculations.

The race itself isn't stressful though. It's the reward for everything done up to that moment. When you are prepared, racing is a celebration of life, fitness and the determination it takes to get to that point. Enjoy it! It will be great!

+1 on Josh's advice.

Josh - send me a message with those exact words next week.

Can I quote those words Josh? Seriously, I am stoked to get to the starting line, and I am really not overly nervous. I am excited for the celebration of life, fitness, and the determination (I would add (and hard work)) it took to get me to this race!

Jake, you are going to have an incredible race next week!

I'm super happy to hear that your ribs are feeling better. Have a great race tomorrow! Sub 2:50 is definitely going to happen!
