Met Fritz, Noah, and Nate at Highland for a track workout. Warmed up with a lap of Sugar House. The track was covered in snow so we improvised and headed to do laps of the inside of Sugar House. We did 8 x 1/2 mile on and 1/4 mile off. It was an exercise in blowing apart and hanging on for me. I am pleased with the effort considering the hills. The 6th repeat was really rough though. My left leg got upset and I almost pulled the plug. I was able to collect myself though during the rest and felt a lot better on 7 and 8. Cooled down for a few with Fritz.

I will either run a tempo on Friday or on Saturday mixed into a long run. There is a chance I might head to the Wedge Overlook on Saturday and run easy on a trail. If I head down there, I hope to work the tempo on Friday. Decisions. Decisions.

Hey James I'm not sure if you got my message yesterday but noticed that you work close by where I live I think? I just off 89 and 84. If you work close by maybe we could meet up for a run before you work one of these days. If it all works out.

Angie, thanks for reminding me. I got your message and was going to reply today. That could work out one day. The next two weeks are a little crazy with work and my wife's birthday. But, let's try and figure something out after that. I work where Washington (89) and Harrison intersect in South Ogden.

Do you know if the storm that hit SoUT/Brian Head pretty hard put any snow down at the Wedge? If so, I bet it's fantastic for photography right now.

Jake - I don't know if the storm hit down there or not. I need to find out. I was thinking the same thing and hope to get some great shots if I go down. Don't know if snow would be melted by Saturday or not. Either way, I hear it is cool country down there. I have never been.

on/offs around SHP make for a really great workout, especially because life is such that you will always hit the "on" parts on the uphills.

"an exercise in blowing apart and hanging on" -- the marathon defined.

allie - true words right there. every "on" is up! I really like that about the marathon defined. Makes me think yesterday's workout was worth something.

Not much snow at the Swell. If you have not been you should make the trip... one of Utah's hidden gems:)
