I had a goal at the start of the year to hit 3,000 miles in 2015. I was doing great and on track but the last couple months have been tough. So, it would be a stretch at this point (347.91 miles in December), but I am not completely ruling it out. I made a goal and I am going to keep trying. Though, I will play it smart and bag it if necessary. I have already logged more than last year so that is an accomplishment.

Often, the only way for me to fight my demons is to look them straight in the eyes and face them head on.

Felt great to be on trail. The snow was soft and sticky. Was worried about it being slick but it was ideal. Only issue was not having enough time to go for a second round up and down the canyon.

| Had the flu the last few days.
AM - park loop of 7 on the road mostly.
PM - East Mountain to Fernwood and back. Good to be on the trail. Felt good but I couldn't get warm. Lingering illness likely. I could get used to some double like today.

| Park Loop on the road snow! Incredible morning running in roughly 6 inches of snow in the middle of the roads. I would welcome a few more days like today and I know Jake and Andrea wouldn't complain.

| Well...I guess I will consider this morning the worst running accident to date. I was heading north on Main Street running on the sidewalk. I was passing a small dealership and I have always had a fear of taking a corner of a license plate right to the shin. I was clipping along in the center of the sidewalk and the next thing I knew, I was lying on the concrete in the fetal position. A metal fence post was bent forward and I caught it right in the middle of my left quad. I finally made it to my feet and hobbled 3 miles back to my car. I am scared for how it will feel later today and tomorrow.

| Took it easy with the quad and pole incident. Not too bad. Could have been a lot worse. Can't imagine the damage had it been my knee.
