| Nice morning with Jeff on the parkway. We discussed whether or not we will miss the parkway when we move. It certainly has been convenient. There are many things I like and I can't really think of negatives.

| Huh...so I got out in the mountains and I am paying for it all day. Something is still clearly wrong with my lungs. Headed to the doctor in the morning.
It was still worth seeing the sunrise from Dude Peak.

| 8 on the parkway. Lungs felt a little better. I figured if I was going to the doctor I might as well get a run in first.

| Headed towards Dude with Josh. Had to turn around early due to a newborn fever.
Was good to get out with Josh and catch up a bit. Need to do it again soon.

| 8 on the parkway. slightly blustery spring morning. nice and easy. HR avg. was 150. starting to measure that a little more often to see if I notice any paterns or anything.
still not feeling great. chest aches a bit but I didn't cough on the run. finally had a chest x-ray friday that revealed abnormalities in my right lung. ct-scan scheduled for wednesday. they are not ruling out pneumonia, so I am going to assume it is that and not anything more significant.

| 6 on the parkway.
Doc says there is something on the scan not consistent with an infection. That is vague, I know. Oh well. Hopefully clarification tomorrow.

| 4 on the treadmill at Zermatt in Midway. Thanks to Fritz for bailing me out on forgetting shoes for the weekend work retreat.
Lungs felt ok, but I didn't want to push it.

| "Fun" run up the backside of Wire with Jake and Scott. I have to put fun in quotes because I took the worst spill of my running career on the way back down. I kicked a rock and lost my footing. Right when I thought I was going to catch myself and pull it off, I hooked my left toe on a root and face planted. I slid and rolled. Knee, both elbows, hip, and back are all bloody. Blew apart the side of my shoe on the root. Good times.

| I did not feel great the rest of the week last week and the beginning of this week. I started to feel like my lungs were bugging me again. Plus, my body was more wrecked than I thought from the fall last Wednesday. Hoping to get more consistent again.
6 solo on the parkway.

| New shoes make me smile....yet, the trail this morning made me smile even bigger. It was a near perfect morning. Met Jake and his friend Rich in Millcreek. We ran up Rattlesnake to the Pipeline and up to Elbow Fork. We then ran across the road and over to the terraces. I think that is what they are called. I had never been over there. It loops back down the canyon, back across the road, and back down the Pipeline and Rattlesnake to our cars. 15 miles and almost 3 hours on my feet felt good. Been a while since I have logged that distance and that much time on feet.
